Boosting Your Beliefs (BYB) is a pilot programme supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is implemented by SPARK in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KR-I). BYB will build a digital workforce (DW) in Erbil consisting of 20 team members. This workforce will provide a safe environment engaging people of different backgrounds, languages, and cultures. Once in place, trained and equipped, the workforce aims to provide alternative narratives and messages by enabling them to be creative and innovative, run campaigns and find alternatives. In doing so, BYB aims to contribute to a more stimulating and positive environment for young men and women, in which the risk to radicalization is diminished The workforce offers its team members new skills, experience and work opportunities, which they can use in future start-ups or careers (local development and future workforce).
SPARK is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and skilled Communication Officer who is responsible for all communications concerning the Digital Workforce. The Communications Officer will be reporting to the country manager KR-I and the programme manager in SPARK’s head office in Amsterdam. Tasks include, but are not limited to, setting up the digital workforce with the programme coordinator, internal communications of the DW, social media, assistance in designing and implementing online campaigns and provide assistance to the training programme.
