Job Description

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.

Project Brief:

The ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) institute, at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNMHSC), established in 2003, to de-monopolize knowledge and amplify the capacity to provide best practice care for undeserved people all over the world in order to expand access to best-practice medical care across the United States and globally. ECHO institute has engaged PHFI for the purposes of evaluating project ECHO. PHFI will through a team which will evaluate select ECHO model being implemented in the India. Assess the replication (or spread) of the ECHO model in India. To what extent has the ECHO model spread throughout India? Assess the efficacy of the ECHO model in these new cultural contexts. Does the ECHO model increase access to care for the undeserved? This includes assessing the efficacy of the ECHO model as applied to medical practitioners and CHWs and implementing in-depth evaluations.

Deliverables:

  • Support in a variety of Program management work and office management activities.

Assist the team in all the components of the program conducted in the framework of interdisciplinary multi-partner collaborations across the country.

  • Management and coordination of all components of the ECHO evaluation program.
  • Assist program secretariat for communication, documentation and coordination.
  • Play an integral Role in organizing and managing resource intensive Meetings; this involves human resource and logistical issues.
  • Support overall field operations related to evaluation of the program (i.e. Coordination with officials, documentation, visit coordination, workshop planning etc.)
  • Prepare plans for evaluation visits across the country with seamless networking for real time coordination and communication between participants and evaluator.
  • Coordinating with the partners, sponsors, Hub and trainees to ensure that evaluation activity in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in stakeholders meetings, and other meetings as needed.
  • Report on a day to day basis to the Supervisor regarding project and seek timely advice wherever necessary.
  • Willing to travel to other places/field visits.
  • Manage and process the bills reacted to visits and project related.
  • Support in Data Entry of evaluation findings.
  • Coordinate with the team for the accomplishment of the relevant program activities towards achieving expected results in accordance with the program’s objectives.
  • Create and maintain a positive, supportive and team focused work environment within the team and the organization.
  • Communication for program secretariat to communicate with Hub, Spoke and Respective Institutions.
  • Play an integral Role in organizing and managing resource intensive Meetings; this involves human resource and logistical issues.
  • Coordinating with the Hub, Spoke and Respective Institutions to ensure that critical issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Conducting and coordinating overall field operations related to implementation of the evaluations.
  • Preparing and disseminating plans for evaluation visit and coordination with seamless networking for real time coordination and communication between participants and evaluator.
  • Any other work as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification:

  • Essential: Graduate from a recognized University with certification in Computers.
  • Desirable: Post Graduate/Diploma from a recognized University with certification in Computers is desirable.

Experience:

  • Desirable: Around 5 to 6 years of work experience is required.
