Global Campaign for Education-US (GCE-US) promotes education as a basic human right and mobilizes to create political will in the United States and internationally to ensure universal quality education.
Light for the World and GCE-US are collaboratively looking for a Disability-Inclusive Education Advocacy Officer to work in Washington, DC to strengthen advocacy and policy research on disability inclusive education with particular focus on the follow-on campaign on early childhood development. Inclusive education is one of the key mandate areas of LIGHT FOR THE WORLD. Over the past two years LIGHT FOR THE WORD has led the disability-inclusive education finance work with the International Disability and Development Consortium. The campaign, which used the #CostingEquity report as a springboard, was hugely successful and will be deepened with a focus on increasing investment in disability-inclusive early childhood development.
