The Donor Compliance Coordinator forms part of the Contracts and Compliance Team within Oxfam GB’s Programme Funding Department. They take overall responsibility for ensuring that Oxfam GB has the systems and training in place to support staff in meeting institutional donor compliance requirements. This is a critical role in the Programme Funding Department because of the importance of donor reporting in maintaining Oxfam GB’s cash flow, ensuring compliance with donor contractual requirements, managing risks arising from non-compliance, and maintaining good external donor relationships.
The role requires a broad knowledge of and familiarity with donor reporting requirements, as well as an ability to quickly get to grips with Oxfam GB’s own internal donor contract management system(which uses the PeopleSoft platform). The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills and particularly an adeptness in risk analysis, as well as experience in running training and producing guidance documents.
The Donor Compliance Coordinator will lead this work under the supervision of the Contracting and Compliance Manager, prioritising its training and guidance communications on lowest performing countries and regions.
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience of design and delivery of remote and in-person training to multi-cultural audiences. S/he will also have the analytical skills and sufficient experience of organisational compliance systems to coordinate a compliance support service, including advice and issues management, systems oversight, training and guidance development.
The role involves the management of one direct line report (the Donor Compliance Officer), who primarily supports Oxfam’s internal systems quality and oversees country and regional staff’s use of the Oxfam GB donor contract management system. There are no budget responsibilities associated with this position.
Some travel may be required outside of the UK equivalent to approximately 6 weeks per annum in order to deliver face to face training or critical issues management.
