A consultancy roster is a curated list of qualified and available consultants or experts in various fields, maintained by UNICEF to quickly identify and engage external talent for specific projects. This roster is to identify English Editors, details are stipulated below. 
UNICEF Lebanon’s Communication section works on the production of multimedia content contributing to communication, advocacy, and resource mobilization purposes in support of the most vulnerable children. The compound crisis affecting the country has significantly increased the needs of multimedia content production, as well as tailored communication packages depending on the audience and objectives.
Accordingly, UNICEF Lebanon is expanding its roster of EN editors to be able to cover all content production needs for media outreach, digital communication, donor engagement, and any other activity requiring content development. Therefore, UNICEF Lebanon is seeking for senior editors who can provide ad-hoc support with the production of communication and advocacy assets and packages: reports, press releases, statements, human interest stories, social media packages, key messages, Q&A documents, talking points, briefing notes, video scripts and any other written content as described in the ad-hoc assignments.  
Tasks/Milestones:
  • Produce communication and advocacy assets for media outreach.
  • Produce communication and advocacy assets for digital communication.
  • Produce communication and advocacy assets for events.
  • Produce communication assets for brand building.
  • Produce communication and advocacy assets for donor engagement.
  • Produce communication and advocacy assets for any activity requiring written content.
  • Copy-edit / proofread documents and communication packages.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant proven experience in producing and editing communication and advocacy assets for UN agencies.
  • Excellent writing skills in English.
  • Familiar with emergency contexts and the communication and advocacy dynamics linked to crisis communications.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset. 
  • Familiar with child rights issues and the UNICEF language.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
