The Education/Adolescent Development Officer based in Bishkek reports to the Chief of Education/Adolescent Development Section for supervision. The Officer works in close cooperation with the Osh based Education/Adolescent Development Officer and Osh Zone Office. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process to support the integration of Education, including ECE, Inclusive Education and other education areas, and adolescent development and participation in programmes/projects within the Country Programme. The Officer is responsible  for preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to support the development and formulation of the education and adolescent development and participation programmes/projects within the Country Programme 2023-2027.

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years of proven professional experience in social development planning and management in  Education/adolescent development related areas is required. Experience working with diverse groups of youth and in community settings is required.
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered as a asset.
  • Relevant experience in education, youth, adolescent development related areas in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, Russian and Kyrgyz are required.
