Job Description


The Education Officer ensures the production and / or quality of materials and training in conjunction with the project coordinator and the Education Manager. As such, he must:

ü Bring educational innovations to the program and provide training on themes specific to SCI (Positive Discipline; Positive Management and Management of Classes; Literacy boost; Professional Development of the Teacher; Improvement of the Learning Environment Together …) ;

  • Ensure the production of educational modules and supports related to the themes of the project;
  • Ensure the integration of project activities
  • Ensure quality monitoring
  • Ensure the production of quality tools (modules, teaching aids, monitoring sheets);
  • Ensure the anchoring of project activities both at the level of civil society and at the level of State structures;
  • Advocate for the anchoring of SCI innovations and approaches at the field level;
  • Provide monthly and quarterly activity reporting;
  • Ensure the capacity building of field teams and implementing partners;
  • Contribute to increasing the access rate in partner schools through awareness-raising missions
  • Ensure that schools are inclusive in all dimensions.


  • Supervise and ensure the quality of the supports, and the quality of the trainings organized by the project teams, governmental and non-governmental structures;
  • Actively contribute to the exchange of experiences, tools and supports between the various partners;
  • Develop links and framework for exchange between technical education actors;
  • Represent the structure during Education Working Group meetings;
  • Support partners in the implementation of their activities;

Child participation

  • Develop in collaboration with the program teams a plan / strategy ensuring the participation of the child in the planning, implementation and / or monitoring of activities;
  • Ensure that the Child Participation policy and risk analysis tools are used;
  • Produce regular activity reports.
  • In addition to the tasks mentioned above, the Education officer may be required to perform any other task assigned by the Project Coordinator, the Manager or the Base Manager


  • Pedagogical Advisor or inspector of primary education preferably
  • BAC +5 in science education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of education, development or humanitarian;
  • Fluency in French;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment, in a context of development and humanitarian;
  • Speak well the language of the intervention area (Hausa);
  • Mastering computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Know the educational policies of Niger;
  • English is a great asset;
