The Energy Specialist will identify, develop, process, implement, and administer projects, loans, and technical assistance (TA), and non-lending products and services (NPLS) in the energy sector (including climate change mitigation projects) that contribute to ADB’s goal of reducing poverty. S/he will also provide analysis and information in the formulation and articulation of energy sector policy and strategies; engage developing member country (DMC) governments in policy dialogue; and conduct ADB’s activities to support sector policy and reforms. The incumbent will support collaborative partnerships with other ADB departments such as Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department, Office of Market Development and Private Sector Development, and Private Sector Operations Department, and the Regional Departments, and with co-financing units and development partners to deliver value-added services in the energy sector to ADB’s DMCs. The staff will have dual reporting line and report to Director, ENE on operational and policy-related matters, and to the Regional Director, SPSO on day-to-day administrative matters. The incumbent will supervise one or more National and Administrative Staff.
