IFC’ ESG Sustainability Advice Solutions Department is seeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP).  The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. Duties and Accountabilities:  

  • Core Project:  The intern will support the execution of the MALENA project. MALENA is a virtual Artificial Intelligence powered platform developed to support environmental, social and governance (ESG) analysis. The intern will provide support at program syncs, contribute to collecting project metrics and reporting to sponsors and donors. The intern will also support outreach to external beta testers.  
  • Secondary Projects: The intern will also support other CEG projects including the Arabesque project, IFC ESG Performance Indicators, and program support to Amundi Emerging Green One Fund ESG service agreement. 

Selection Criteria:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Masters’ degree level program with expected graduation date after December 1st, 2023 in order to be eligible. 
  • Field of study, Master’s in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Knowledge or Information Management, Information Technology, or other related discipline fields 
  • At least 3 years of previous work experience  
  • Experience with program management, including defining and tracking deliverables and timelines, and reporting to the program team.  
  • Strong facilitation skills to lead workshops planning and preparation, presentation, knowledge capture and follow-up.   
  • Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate gathered data and ability to link or associate with other datasets and data needs.   
  • Ability to quickly develop high quality presentations tailored to different audiences.  
  • Experience with identifying ESG data sources and in reviewing ESG data quality.   
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Fluency in English.
