Job Description

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in working as a PA or other business support at a senior level?

Do you enjoy working with a vibrant team, juggling tasks and retaining a positive attitude?

Have you got a passion for campaigning and an understanding of how it contributes to Oxfam’s mission to end the injustice of poverty?

If the answer is yes, then we would like to hear from you.

The Role

As executive PA to the director of Campaigns, Policy and Influencing, you will have a key role in supporting the director and wider team to perform effectively, through diary and inbox management, being the first point of contact, liaising with Oxfam colleagues and with external stakeholders, using your initiative and your excellent communication and administration skills.

What we are looking for

As executive PA to the director, you will use your experience in similar roles to work flexibly and, at times, under pressure; deal with a range of issues and enquiries; perform diary magic, use your discretion and tenacity, and communicate confidently and appropriately with colleagues at all levels, while keeping sight of tasks and external and internal demands that impact the director’s workload and capacity to deliver.

We offer

This role will give you an opportunity to make a difference in our team and across Oxfam GB, to contribute to management decisions, to become involved in campaigns and advocacy and to work with a group of passionate people, who are expert in their fields – with a fair pay offer, training and development, and a competitive benefits package.

Our values and commitment to safeguarding

Oxfam is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behaviour at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people, adults and beneficiaries with whom Oxfam GB engages. Oxfam expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.

The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation. All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks.

We are committed to ensuring diversity and gender equality within our organisation and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
