The South Sudan Country Office compound is a mixed-use facility with offices and residential units in the same compound. The facility is in the city of Juba, next to government ministries. World Bank Juba office has been constructed over time, commencing with a prefabricated unit in 2006-2007. The year 2012 saw the completion of Phase 2 which consisted of two office buildings and residential units which have since then undergone renovations.
Besides the South Sudan country office, the GCSIF Facilities Manager based in Juba will be required to manage and/or provide regional oversight to other WBG locations, primarily across East Africa; namely Kampala, Uganda.
This assignment will be initially focused on managing facilities operations at, but not necessarily limited to, the World Bank’s locations in South Sudan and Uganda. Changes or additions to this assignment can be implemented during the initial term or occasional extensions. The incumbent will report to the Senior Program Manager, Global Corporate Solutions, International Facilities Management (GCSIF), and will be a key member of the GCSIF team. S/he will be based in Juba, South Sudan.
The position responsibilities include management and oversight of operations and maintenance of the buildings in the portfolio, including, but not limited to, housekeeping, maintenance, electrical and mechanical engineering systems, and landscaping.
