Plan International Haiti is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Officer according to the specifications below  :             

REASON FOR THE POSITION

The Finance Officer will efficiently facilitate accounting and financial operations  in the Program Unit in accordance with Plan International Haiti regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES  :

  • Ensure the management of financial operations at the level of the Program Unit, both with regard to payment operations and cash management, following the procedures and rules in force at Plan International-Haiti;
  • Prepare financial reports for all operations of the Program Unit and review financial reports submitted by partners;
  • Ensure that the processes, procedures and financial systems in force at Plan International-Haiti are rigorously respected at the level of the Program Unit and monitor the implementation of action plans resulting from audit missions or evaluation .
  • Ensure the management of financial operations at the level of the Program Unit, both with regard to payment operations and cash management, following the procedures and rules in force at Plan International-Haiti;
  • Prepare financial reports for all operations of the Program Unit and review financial reports submitted by partners;
  • Ensure that the financial processes, procedures and systems in force at Plan are rigorously observed at the level of the Program Unit and monitor the implementation of action plans resulting from audit or evaluation missions.

Knowledge, skills and behaviors required to achieve the objectives of the position:

  • Diploma in Accounting
  • Three years of experience in a similar position preferably in a development organization.
  • Practical knowledge of financial tools
  • Very good knowledge of the following software: Excel, Word;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to work under pressure and / or in difficult conditions;
  • Effective and efficient interpersonal relationship;
  • Priority and organizational planning.
  • Demonstrate integrity.
