Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Provide professional and technical advice on gender inclusion, social inclusion and safeguarding in alliance with project partners (schools) and Organizations of Children and People Living with Disabilities in order to contribute to the overall quality of project.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical and programmatic support for all project activities: Technical input for the project management cycle (project design and launch, project definition and planning, project launch or execution, project performance and control, project closure ) Most significant change Reviews and contributions for technical conformities Incorporation of technical standards (sector initiatives and other WV initiatives (DADD, project models, CWBT, etc.) Ensure alignment with internal and external policies and strategies.
  • Technical / sectoral / capacity building capacity (staff, community and partner: Increased capacity of staff, communities and partners on sector-specific standards Demonstrated application in the dynamic acquisition of skills related to the field both in DRC and following policies by WVA and DFAT.
  • Facilitate networking and specific partnerships relating to the sector: Partnership initiated with civil society organizations, United Nations organizations and other private partners. Collaborative interventions initiated Sharing of resources and learning with stakeholders.
  • Personal development / learning: Preparation and implementation of an annual personal development plan - in accordance with the agreement with the supervisor Application of learning in the workplace.
  • Cover the aspects of Safeguarding for the Project and for the Tanganyika office in collaboration with the other project staffs: Connect with the other agents in charge of the Safeguarding of projects and the Safeguard Specialist at the national level in order to document, manage and report cases of incidents Keep contacting the QA Department at the national level to inform the cases of 473333 and manage the possible cases informed for the case of the ANCP Project and the Tanganyika office in general.

Qualifications: Education / Knowledge / Technical skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in the relevant sector or in any other relevant field
  •  Relevant professional qualifications and membership in professional orders.
  • Work experience in gender inclusion - at least two years

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in strategic program planning, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing 
  • Knowledge and experience of holistic community development an advantage Excellent interpersonal, representation, advocacy and networking skills with cross-cultural sensitivity .
  • Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write fluently in English.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
