Global Strategy Coordinator

Under the guidance of the Department Management Team, and relevant entities that govern DRC’s strategy, the role of the Global Strategy Coordinator will be to facilitate, coordinate, and track the implementation of DRC’s global strategy.. The Global Strategy Coordinator works across all HQ departments, with a close functional link to the Operational Steering Committee (OSC) for the DRC Strategy.
Day-to-day leadership will be ensured by the Head of EKL, who you will bereporting to:
Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating, leading and supporting DRC’s global, strategic planning process
  • Supporting DRC’s communication on Strategy 2025
  • Facilitating and supporting the governance of DRC’s strategy
  • Working closely with the SPL management group and supporting relevant submissions to Executive Management Team (EMT) meetings
  • Working closely with the Advocacy, Press, and External Relations team (APEC) on aligning the external communication around the Strategy and strategic ambitions
About you:
  • To be successful in this role we expect you to have a combination of 5+ years of experience in coordination, strategic planning, or similar fields, in the international / humanitarian sphere.

Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required:
  • A strong programmatic understanding of the sectors of DRC’s response framework
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of horizontal and vertical collaboration with subject matter experts and management level colleagues.
  • Strong proactive communication skills
  • A master’s degree in a relevant technical area
  • Fuency in English
