- United Nations University Centre for Policy Research is looking for a politically astute and charismatic workstream lead to oversee Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST)’s policy outreach and engagement with governments and multilateral institutions. This is a newly created position as part of this growing project.
- This workstream is focused on broadening engagement with governments, multilateral institutions and other stakeholders on laws, regulations and policies relating to modern slavery and human trafficking, focusing specifically on promoting mutually beneficial partnerships with financial sector actors to end modern slavery. Engagement will focus on public lenders, regulators, as well as various government and development actors.
- Over the next three years (2021-2023), the Government and Multilateral Organizations Lead will work closely with the FAST Project Director and the other two workstream leads to implement a programme of work that aligns with donor expectations and ambitions. The Government and Multilateral Organizations Lead will be responsible for shaping activities to meet the workstream objective to raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking risks and encourage the incorporation of these risks in financial regulation, public lending and investment across governments and multilateral institutions.
