Job Description

Your opportunities and responsibilities at Kiron:

Act as primary grant writer for Kiron and being responsible for all duties related to the grant writing life cycle (from scoping to reporting)
Develop and write grant proposals, narratives and budgets for foundations, corporations and government funding agencies, persuasively communicating Kiron’s mission and product in order to secure funding
Tracking and reporting on the status of all opportunities, i.e. relevant news and government policy development and/or information on the profile of existing fundraising activity of donors
Manage stakeholders and build relationships with current and prospective funders, working together with our Head of Donor Relations to determine which ones would best address our organisational needs

Your set of skills:

  • You completed a master’s degree and you can demonstrate a track record of successful grants applications (ideally in the non-profit sector)
  • You have excellent writing skills in both German and English
  • You have an excellent analytical, problem-solving and research skills in order to plan and implement Kiron’s grant writing strategy
  • You are highly motivated, adaptable, stress resistant
  • You have the ability to work in a highly autonomous environment by managing your own workflow and working towards tight deadlines
  • You share our vision of free and democratic access to higher education for refugees and disadvantage communities worldwide and want to apply your grant writing skills to secure the financial means to achieve this vision
