Freedom House promotes the spread of freedom and democracy around the world through research, effective advocacy, and programs that support frontline activists. We are a leader in identifying threats to freedom through our highly regarded analytic reports, including Freedom in the World, Freedom of the Press, Freedom on the Net, and Nations in Transit. With 13 field offices and two U.S. offices, we support the right of every individual to be free.
The Intern will support advocacy campaigns and research promotion related to Freedom House’s global publications and programmatic work. He/she will support the Communications and Publications teams by creating graphics to support and enhance Freedom House’s social media presence. The Intern will assist with graphic design and website management. He/she should have a passion for Freedom House’s mission and be able to design within an established brand identity while proposing new and innovative ideas.
This position reports to Senior Web and Social Media Editor and requires a commitment of 25-30 hours per week.
This is a temporary unpaid internship for currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students that will last for about 12 weeks, depending on the student's availability.
