Education and Experience
An Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art or a related field
A minimum of 5 yearsof relevant professional experience in graphic design.
Excellent design and layout skills.
Prior experience with producing technical reports, laying out pictures, charts and tables.
Understanding of the work of the UN, UNICEF.
Note: The above can be supported by sharing similar work that the graphic artist has developed that is relevant to the project described in this RFQ.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
Professional technical knowledge and expertise in Specialized knowledge of PC and Mac OSX platforms:
Experience with digital file types, i.e., jpg, gif, eps, etc.
Experience with digital printing processes for publications.
Experience with image resolution optimization.
Experience with Design software: Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat Professional, and Genuine Fractals among others.
Other Skills and attributes
Graphic Artist should clearly demonstrate ability to deal with multiple last-minute changes without compromising the delivery deadlines.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
