The Western Pacific Region is prone to outbreaks and hazards. When an outbreak occurs, the public needs to receive timely and accurate public health advice to protect themselves and their families. Effective risk communication depends not only on clear and accessible messaging, but also on the use of engaging and trustworthy visual materials tailored to at-risk populations. To support these efforts, the RCCE team is seeking graphic design support to develop high-quality risk communication products.
The communication materials developed through this assignment will align with risk assessments for priority threats in the Region and will be ready for rapid deployment when needed.
The Online Volunteers’ contributions through this task will support the World Health Organization contribute to the Sustainable Development Goal 3 – “Good Health and Wellbeing”.
Support design of risk communication materials for emergencies in the Western Pacific Region.
We are looking for one Online Volunteer to support the localization of an existing regional animation video on avian influenza. Under the guidance of the Technical Officer, Risk Communication, and in collaboration with the WPRO Communications team, the Online Volunteer will:
Adapt visual elements of the animation to reflect the Cambodian context, including:
• Modifying character design to better reflect Cambodian clothing and appearance
• Adjusting facial features and stylistic elements as needed for local relevance
• Insert key local contact information, such as hotline, in the video
• Prepare the animation for integration of a new local voice-over (the VO will be provided by the team)
Ensure all design elements follow WHO corporate branding guidelines, which will be provided.
Required experience :
Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in animation or motion graphics design, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
A degree in graphic design or a related field is considered an asset.
