Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

Do you have experience in policy, advocacy and influencing, particularly in the fields of humanitarian affairs and women’s rights?

Do you have experience in influencing governmental and other organisations in sensitive political situations?

Do you have substantive experience in the Russian political environment, including at senior leadership and/or managerial positions?

The Role

Oxfam is hiring a Head of Office to develop and implement the next strategic plan for Oxfam in Russia. You will build and maintain relationships that enable Oxfam to engage and influence key stakeholders, including Russian institutions, on Oxfam’s global priorities of eradicating poverty and inequality and protecting people affected by humanitarian crises.

As head of office, you will ensure Oxfam builds strong relations with government and civil society organisations working in Russia on Oxfam’s priority issues and grow Oxfam’s influence as part of these networks.

You will also represent Oxfam in Russia at relevant global fora internally and externally and ensure efficient and effective management of the Moscow office

What we are looking for

We are seeking a committed professional with proven experience in policy, advocacy, influencing and negotiation skills, particularly in the field of humanitarian affairs and women’s rights.

You will have the ability to work innovatively, creatively and effectively with limited direct supervision, and have significant experience of advocating on global humanitarian and development issues.
A track record of influencing government officials, donors and other organisations in sensitive political situations is necessary
