So it’s important that we look after all the people who work in them. In this role, you’ll provide generalist HR support to our shops and managers in the London and the South East.
Do you have good organisational planning skills and a proven ability to work with a large degree of independence, managing own workload and priorities?
Are you able to support the delivery of a high level of customer service to Trading managers, staff and volunteers?
Are you able to research, monitor and provide management information for the Trading team including the production of management information reports?

There are circa 1000 staff and 23,000 volunteers in our Trading Team, and it will be down to you to make sure the people in your region have all the HR support and guidance they need to thrive.
You’ll provide advice on a range of operational HR issues, including conduct and capability, performance management, volunteering and health & safety. You’ll also help to identify, design, deliver and evaluate learning and development interventions.
We’ll expect you to support our managers on a reactive and proactive basis, keeping them up to speed with employment legislation and our own HR policies, advising on recruitment and selection, and helping them to get the most out of their team. To enable easier access to the region, the role will be home-based.
What we are looking for
A CIPD qualification or equivalent and you’ll need to bring experience in another generalist HR role (or equivalent), ideally in a multisite environment – including managing a wide range of employee relations casework. A good working knowledge of employment legislation is essential, as is a solid understanding of performance management.
Flexible in your approach, you should have worked in another operational role and, having already provided HR support in a distant capacity, you won’t be phased by the travel a role like this involves. Change management experience is also important and the ability to become a business partne
