The Center of Expertise for PMCD supports UNICEF in developing innovative approaches and programmes to enhance managing performance globally and ensuring the development of careers for staff at all levels. The key purpose of this consultancy is to support the PMCD Section in coordination of the career development and performance workshops and coaching programme, as part of the diverse PMCD portfolio of activities. The consultant will also provide administrative and operational support to the PMCD team. 

Under the direct supervision of the HR Specialist-PMCD, the HR Coordinator will contribute to this ambitious and exciting agenda in managing following activities:  

  • Act as a focal point in coordinating all global PMCD workshops (in person and remote) as requested by our global clients. This will include liaising with the respective HR/RO/CO counterparts, linking them with suitable internal PMCD coaches/trainers and maintaining the records of the workshops in the PMCD SharePoint table.
  • Act as a focal in coordinating Coaching Programme, including liaising with respective applicants, assigning them to available and suitable career coaches, ensuring that Coaching tracker (SharePoint tool) is updated in real time reflecting assigned coaching requests.
  • Assist in updating PMCD guidelines and SOPs, especially those related to PMCD workshops and Coaching Programme, when required
  • Act as Local Focal Point (LFP) within PMCD team to ensure logistical, admin and ICT support is provided to team members in partnership with relevant UNICEF stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to the team as and when requested, which may include:
  • Support pertaining to contractual procedures and activities, requesting documentation from consultants, provide administrative support where required.
  • Communicate with consultants in gathering documentation and certifications, act as a liaison between the Section, Analytics & Operations team and GSSC when required.
  • Provide support pertaining to the Supply procedures and activities, including on RFP, RFP and LTA processes, including liaising with DHR Analytics & Operations section.
  • Any other administrative tasks, as and when required.

 To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • University degree in business, economic or social sciences
  • At least 2 years of experience of work in Human Resources and Operations, including within the international organization. Experience in the UN system is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in coordinating and supporting HR programmes and activities
  • Experience in operational matters, including review and development of various operational/HR SOPs and workflows
  • Fluency in English language is required. Knowledge of other UN languages is a distinct advantage.
