The organizational structure for the new CPD proposes an increase of staff, driven by an expanding programme implementation in further supporting the Government’s efforts to establish a more equitable and enabling environment for children. The expected staff structure will demand extra human resources support in terms of recruiting, HR administration and development. This post will allow the unit to provide better quality service, being responsible for HR administrative support.

How can you make a difference?

Under the close supervision and guidance of the Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Assistant provides administrative, procedural and operational support and assistance to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources functions for all categories of staff in his/her office, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF HR rules and regulations.

  • Support in recruitment and placement
  • Support in organization design and job classification
  • Support and assistance to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources functions

Support in recruitment and placement, including:

  • Raising requisition in TMS and circulates internal and external advertisements.
  • Long-listing of qualified candidates based on the minimum requirements of the position
  • Coordinating written test and administrating the process together with the supervisor
  • Coordinating the interview process
  • Initiates and follows up on reference checks and academic verification and ensuring the completion of other background checks.
  • Prepares and finalized selection report
  • Monitors life-cycle of recruitment process to update supervisor as necessary.
  • Prepares documents to be submitted for classification to RO, ensuring completeness of documentation

Support in organization design and job classification

  • Prepares documents to be submitted for classification to RO and NYHQ, ensuring completeness of documentation
  • Monitors life-cycle of all job classification requests to facilitate recruitment and organization planning.
  • Support in organization design and job classification

Support and assistance to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources functions

  • Provides support for business partnering
  • Under the supervisor’s guidance, s/he provides accurate and timely advice to clients on recruitment processes and policies, ensuring the highest level of client-orientation.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have

Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in human resources, HR generalist/business partner experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting selection assessments and interviews
  • Computer literacy and the ability to effectively use standard office software tools as well as good knowledge and skill in using HR systems.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in Spanish and English in both oral and writing.
