In this context, UNDP requires the hiring of a Human Resources Assistant, whose objective is to carry out the full range of HR services, ensuring transparency and integrity. The Human Resources Assistant promotes a collaborative and client-oriented approach and fosters the maintenance of high staff morale.

Responsibilities

  • In consultation with the direct supervisor and office management, provide input for mapping the CO (Country Office) business processes and drafting internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR management when necessary, to complement the SOPs issued by GSSC/OHR.
  • Prepare drafts of job descriptions and vacancy announcements, compile evaluation matrices, and serve as Secretary on interview panels for actions delegated to the CO. Provide support with documentation for submitting requests to the GSSC for non-delegated actions.
  • Follow up on all transactions related to positions, recruitment, benefits, earnings/deductions, retroactivity, recoveries, adjustments, and separations through the ERP system.
  • Support timely contract management actions in consultation with the direct supervisor.
  • Update the CO roster listing as applicable.
  • Provide information regarding cost recovery invoices in the enterprise resource planning system for HR services delivered by UNDP to other agencies.
  • Maintain an appropriate filing system for human resources records and documents.
  • Provide HR administrative support for the effective implementation of human resource services to UNDP and associated agencies.Provide background information to the CO formal management groups responsible for reviewing and collectively discussing staff performance, talent, and development needs. Act as Secretary of the panels when necessary.
  • Provide basic input for drafting the CO-wide learning plan.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with specialized certification in Human Resources is required.
  • Completed university studies (Bachelor’s degree level) in Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field will be duly considered, but it is not a requirement.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Human Resources field (with a high school diploma), or 2 years (with a bachelor’s degree).
  • Experience in recruitment processes.
  • Experience in administrative personnel management processes.
  • Experience working with UN Agencies or UNDP.
  • Experience conducting competency-based interviews.
