The WFP Southern Africa Regional Office, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the post of Human Resources Consultant, reporting to the Senior Regional Human Resources Business Partner. 

JOB PURPOSE

The WFP Southern Africa Regional Office, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the post of Human Resources Consultant, reporting to the Senior Regional Human Resources Business Partner. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Major activities for the HR Consultant will include but not limited to strategy projects critical to the delivery and implementation of the HR agenda:

Process Improvement

Identify Continuous improvement opportunities in our processes and coordinate the implementation of approved plans timeously

Strategy Project Execution

Under the guidance of the Line Manager (LM), execute the strategy project plans and other associated activities in RBJ and selected countries.  The projects will cover:

  • Analytics
  • Talent Management
  • Learning & Development
  • Culture
  • Performance Management
  • HR Knowledge Management

Change Management: Provide Change Management support to units in the Regional Bureau and Country Offices undergoing organisational change

Deliverables

Complete Process review, mapping and documentation of all agreed processes

  • Diagnostics of all selected Country Offices
  • Clear Project Plan for own work
  • Delivery of agreed actions

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources or related field.  Additional qualifications in Project Management

Experience: 3 years post graduate experience in Talent Management and Managing Change.

Knowledge: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power point

Language: Fluency in written and oral English.
