The HRE Monitoring, Impact and Communications Advisor leads on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities at global level, collating and communicating learning and evidence for audiences to support global HRE reach and impact. They ensure that HRE is integrated and aligned with monitoring and evaluation for Amnesty's Strategic Frameworks and ensure M&E frameworks are in place to monitor progress towards the accompanying HRE Strategic Frameworks.

You demonstrate strong analytical, research skills and critical thinking, with the ability to communicate evidence in an impactful manner. You will be up to speed and interested to learn about the latest PMEL methods and practices, with an ability to implement pragmatic solutions to different organisational needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on tracking and reporting progress of Amnesty's HRE at global, regional, and national levels towards the HRE Strategic Framework.
  • In consultation with Head of HRE, and relevant stakeholders, lead the development of strategic communication outputs to demonstrate impact of HRE projects for a variety of internal and external audiences and stakeholders.
  • Together with HRE Grants and Projects Advisor work to capture stories of impact that can be used to promote the effectiveness of HRE to prospective partners and donors.
  • Lead on capacity exchange on MEL with Amnesty Entities and Sections, and the development of relevant MEL resources.
  • Ensure the integration of HRE within monitoring and evaluation frameworks that accompany Amnesty's Strategic Framework 2022-2030 in consultation with the Global Head of HRE and Global Strategic Impact Programme.
  • Ensure the alignment of the HRE Measurement Framework with Amnesty's Strategic Framework 2022-2030 and subsequent identified priorities

Skills And Experience

  • Strong, demonstrable experience developing and implementing Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks for projects, programmes or organisations
  • Experience of producing high quality reports and papers for internal and external publication
  • Experience in the field of human rights education or other education sector experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in an additional language, such as Arabic, French Spanish, or other (desirable)
