 The incumbent will work for ITC’s Women and Trade Programme (SheTrades Initiative) under the direct supervision of the Partnerships Lead. The consultant will support the implementation, communication, and coordination of SheTrades partnership activities and is expected to carry out the following key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular contact with key partners to foster effective relationship management, address emerging issues, and explore new areas of collaboration.
  • Track progress on partnership commitments, ensuring alignment with established reporting requirements and workplans.
  • Contribute to the drafting of donor proposals, concept notes, and project documents in collaboration with technical and communications teams.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping and outreach to identify and cultivate new strategic partnership opportunities. 
  • Support in drafting MoUs, letters of intent, and partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with ITC’s legal and branding requirements.
  • Contribute to partnership development strategies that align with ITC’s Strategic Plan and SheTrades’ thematic priorities.  
  • Represent the SheTrades Partnerships Team at weekly SheTrades Communications meetings, ensuring that all Partnerships-related requests are consolidated, clearly communicated and acted upon.
  • Ensure that all Partnerships-related requests are reflected in the Communications Planner, including all relevant background information, digital assets (e.g. images, logos, etc) and URLs.
  • Prepare short- and long-form copies for social media for review by the SheTrades Communications Team and ensuring that these have been validated by relevant Partners before publication.
  • Coordinate the development of human-centred success stories, news articles, press releases, media advisories and project results snapshots, etc, in collaboration with the SheTrades Communications Team, ensuring that all parties (e.g. beneficiaries, partners, donors, etc) have provided necessary approvals for publication. 
  • Ensure that all visibility efforts adhere to ITC branding and donor/partner visibility guidelines.
  • Liaise with the SheTrades Communications team and external partners to coordinate visibility campaigns, joint announcements, and media outreach. 
  • Draft project-specific content for various SheTrades platforms (SheTrades.com, ITC webpages, etc) and forums (e.g. high-level events, campaigns, etc), ensuring full alignment with project messaging and branding, if applicable. 
  • Support the planning and promotion of high-level events, webinars, and campaigns, ensuring adequate representation and branding for all partners.   
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of virtual and in-person events, including venue selection, speaker coordination, participant communication, drafting of activity-specific documents (e.g. panel scripts, run of show, speakers’ brief, etc) and event logistics. 
  • Work closely with ITC and external experts to coordinate the timely delivery of technical content, training materials, and learning resources.
  • Support programme implementation by managing timelines, facilitating communication across teams, and ensuring quality delivery of activities. 
  • Provide support to programme beneficiaries (e.g., women entrepreneurs), acting as a point of contact for queries and engagement. 
  • Collaborate with relevant ITC units (procurement, legal, communications, M&E) to ensure smooth and compliant implementation of partnership activities.

  • The Consultant has to ensure that s/he has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform his/her services under this consultancy contract and for subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form.
  • Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC.
  • Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the Consultant shall request prior written permission from ITC. S/he has further to ensure obtain accreditation to event(s), if required.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree and experience on social studies, international relations or related field may also be considered. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in partnerships and donor management.
  • Proven track record in coordinating partnerships, supporting donor-funded initiatives, and developing related content. 
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience drafting social media content and visibility materials in line with branding guidelines.
  • Demonstrated client orientation and ability to respond to diverse stakeholder needs with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ability to coordinate and implement activities effectively.
  • Ability to develop and administer online surveys.
  • Experience in coordinating virtual and in-person events. 
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  •  Excellent written and oral communication in English.
  • Knowledge of French or Spanish is considered an asset.
