The Treasury Team at Oxfam sits within the Corporate Finance division. We are a team of five – the post holder will report to the Head of Global Tax & Treasury and will in turn line manage the International Treasury Officer. The Treasury Team is split between the UK treasury function, who maintain oversight of Oxfam’s UK bank accounts and investments and the Global treasury function (managed by the International Treasury Manager) which supports Oxfam’s overseas offices with all aspects of banking & treasury and monitors & manages Oxfam’s FX exposures.
What we are looking for:
As an experienced Treasury professional you will have experience of managing FX risk across multiple currencies and locations and a good knowledge of financial markets, banking system, regulation and market practices. You will be skilled at identifying areas of treasury risk for continuous improvement to drive productivity and strengthen the control environment.
You will also be a strong communicator, able to explain technical and complex issues to non-finance staff and both confident & culturally sensitive when talking to colleagues and banks across the globe. You need an excellent eye for detail and also be able to think outside the box to develop practical solutions to complex banking issues within an organisation working in some of the most challenging locations in the world and in a sometimes time critical and urgent context.
