The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is an intergovernmental organization committed to advancing sustainable development in developing and emerging countries. GGGI’s “green growth” model integrates economic growth, environmental sustainability, poverty reduction, and social inclusion.
In Sri Lanka, GGGI collaborates closely with the Ministry of Environment (MoE) and other stakeholders to drive national efforts in climate adaptation, sustainable development, and carbon market engagement. GGGI serves as the delivery partner for projects such as the GCF National Adaptation Planning Readiness Support (NAPRS) Project and initiatives focused on mobilizing international and domestic climate finance. The GGGI Sri Lanka program is also working with several other Ministries, and other private sector stakeholders on green growth, sustainable development, and circular economy initiatives. These projects aim to strengthen resilience in vulnerable sectors and communities, promote low-carbon development, and support the country’s ambitions in sustainable finance and carbon markets.
We are seeking a motivated individual to support the implementation of GGGI’s expanding project portfolio in Sri Lanka, with an emphasis on sustainable finance, carbon markets, and climate mitigation initiatives. The Junior Program Support Consultant will assist in managing a healthy project pipeline, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and contributing to capacity-building activities, ensuring alignment with national and international climate priorities
