The UNICEF Jordan Country Office (JCO) Internship Programme aims to provide recent graduate students with professional experiences while being exposed to the humanitarian and development work of UNICEF in Jordan. Interns bring contemporary academic knowledge, creative ideas, and valuable skills, and the greatest value proposition offered is the professional work experience, mentorship, and networking potential provided.
The Knowledge Management Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Adolescent and Youth Development section by enhancing knowledge sharing and organizational learning through the five essential steps of the knowledge management process. This journey begins with identifying crucial knowledge areas and holders within UNICEF, followed by harvesting valuable insights through interviews and discussions. The intern will then organize and categorize this knowledge, developing a user-friendly Knowledge Management Hub on SharePoint for centralized storage. By facilitating collaboration and utilizing online platforms, the intern will promote effective knowledge sharing. Finally, the intern will see the “real-world” impact of knowledge management by applying shared knowledge to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness. This project offers a comprehensive and enriching experience in the field of knowledge management with exposure to all activities of the section, including program, advocacy, and influencing initiatives.
The primary purpose of the internship will be to support the development and enhancement of the interns’ professional experience through practical work assignments, to expose the interns to UNICEF’s mission, as well as to promote learning on child rights in ADAP and in general.
