You have: 

  • A degree in the social sciences, communications, or journalism with relevant experience in international development research, knowledge translation and / or communications. A Master’s degree is an asset.  
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and fluency in Hindi is an asset.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the field of knowledge sharing, communications, international development and/or research management.
  • An in-depth understanding of knowledge translation for uptake and use.
  • An enhanced knowledge of communications and public relations. 

You are: 

  • Able to in design and promote activities and communication products and you have great attention to detail.
  • A skilled communicator with great interpersonal skills characterized by collegiality, tact, and diplomacy. 
  • Able to work well with information technologies, social media, and multimedia production.  
  • Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
  • Able to work effectively in a team with other stakeholders while showing an innovative and enterprising spirit.  

You are interested in: 

  • Promoting the Centre’s knowledge sharing objectives, through strategic positioning and knowledge translation for uptake and use, and the communications objectives in the region.
  • Providing analysis to discern regional trends, identify, and analyze program issues related to knowledge sharing and communications.
  • Supporting and contributing to various activities to implement the knowledge sharing and communications strategies for the region. 
  • Contributing to identify key regional events that are strategic from a visibility and knowledge sharing perspective for IDRC to be engaged and to develop appropriate engagement strategies.
  • Supporting the internal communications of IDRC initiatives, approaches, and priorities.
  • Joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion, and equity.
