The Cloud and Infrastructure Manager role is responsible for ensuring all production and staging systems are under maintenance regime and change control. The role ensures all systems have backup, restore and disaster recovery capabilities and are regularly tested according to approved internal guidelines. 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:    

Manage information technology platforms and infrastructure:

  • Manage all operational public cloud (services covering IaaS, PaaS) supporting the business units, ensuring all systems are fit for purpose, maintained, and compliant with internal and external obligations;
  • Ensure all SaaS systems are under licenses agreements and remain compliant to Gavi standards;
  • Ownership of Gavi data centres, networks and tools that provide access to cloud systems both onsite and virtual, and all the component parts contained within, including certificate management, VPNs, firewalls etc;
  • Responsible for ensuring the configuration, release and performance management of all cloud systems are maintained via the CMDB, KEDB and Service Management toolsets.

Manage Relationships with internal and external stakeholders:

  • Accountable for a team of off-site engineers under a managed service agreement to ensure the delivery of services to agreed SLA's and KPIs’ ensuring any escalated issues are resolved and documented;
  • Maintain management information reporting in a timely manner and ensure all actions are concluded on time;
  • Ownership of all process documentation across the multi-disciplines of the team;
  • Ownership of cloud-based cost management, system sizing and ongoing performance reviews.

Work Experience:    

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and business/industry;
  • 5+ years in managing technology teams in an ITIL CMMI environment;
  • 5+ years of experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organisation and within complex contexts;
  • Proven experience in vendor management;
  • Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.

  • Ability to be innovative, looking for creative new ways of achieving results;
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Languages:    

  • Fluent English is required;
  • French is an asset.
