Job Description

Leads the charge in making our marketing smarter and more thoughtful through actionable data. Will serve as a pivotal intelligence and insight-gathering hub for the Marketing Department and will lead efforts to quantitatively and qualitatively assess marketing projects, activities and campaigns to promote better effectiveness and learning within the department. Will also advise, and sometimes lead, optimization and testing efforts of various digital marketing activities and is responsible for identifying key marketing statistics, interpreting findings, and helping the marketing department understand its performance. Will analyze the effectiveness of campaigns to increase income, donor retention, and donor acquisition - data will be analyzed to create actionable tasks that improve marketing activity success.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Create and manage systems of quantitative data with the goal of providing actionable insights to improve digital marketing effectiveness.
  • Analyze data with standard statistical methods, interpreting the results, and providing written summary of data analyses – data will be analyzed to create actionable tasks that improve campaign success.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to translate our various forms of data into opportunities for growth, more informed decisions, donor insights, behavior and data-powered strategies.
  • Create and manage reporting and visualization tools to help the entire team become more data driven.
  • Lead and organize testing methodologies and processes for digital marketing activities and projects.
  • Develop and maintain a system of recording optimization insights and test results in an effort to formalize organizational learning in our digital marketing efforts.
  • Advise other departments and external partnerships on data-confirmed strategies for optimizing digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Work with members of the Marketing department and other associated departments to assist in various fundraising initiatives, campaigns and strategies.
  • Assist in high-level research and innovation efforts to improve overall fundraising efforts.
  • Pursue professional development: intentionally take part in beneficial education opportunities that result in further certification and expertise in the non-profit industry, marketing, and data analysis.
  • Study and research best practices: learn from like-minded organizations to the extent that proposals are made for our own organization and partners are made externally to end poverty through relationships.
