Job Description


The Monitoring Assistant will be in charge of carrying out monitoring activities of the Office, Projects and Public Policies. You will work under the supervision of the Senior Associate of Programs in Monitoring and Evaluation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Support in the design and implementation of instruments and tools for data collection and analysis;
  • Collect, record, process and analyze data for WFP and project monitoring.
  • Carry out the quality control of the information generated in the field projects and in the units of each strategic objective of the CSP;
  • Follow up on the planned activities, providing pertinent information, preparing reports and providing alerts for the timely attention of possible deviations that affect the fulfillment of the objectives of the WFP, projects and prioritized public policies;
  • Keep the information systems, information records and documentation of the WFP and project monitoring plan updated;
  • Provide statistical information from primary and secondary sources that serve as input for the preparation of technical documents for taking strategic actions;


  • Analyze and prepare reports of national household surveys, censuses, such as ENDES, ENAHO, etc. and other WFP study databases;
  • Participate in the development of the information systems of the results framework and management of field projects;
  • Support in terms of monitoring field projects for the development of the M&E plan, knowledge management and indicator dashboards;
  • Track cohort indicators and longitudinal data;
  • Carry out monitoring of household indicators using the LQAS technique;
  • Support in the design and implementation of quality benchmarking systems for field projects;
  • Prepare periodic monitoring reports and at the request of the Country Office, incorporating a gender analysis;
  • Other related tasks / activities assigned by the Representative;


  • Ability to guide the achievement of strategic objectives;
  • Ability to focus on achieving results;
  • Ability to implement monitoring actions;
  • Ability to gather, organize and provide information on the results, effects and products of the Program;
  • Ability for quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Ability for teamwork and good interpersonal relationships;
  • Good writing and spelling.


  • At least 2 years of experience working in management, monitoring of social management programs or projects;
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection processes;
  • Management and management of databases, information consistency and analysis of quantitative and qualitative information;
  • Experience in the design, data collection, analysis and reports of indicators of effects, products and activities;
  • Experience in preparing reports for donors and decision makers;
  • Indicator Dashboard development experience;
  • Knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA, SAS or others;


  • Desirable professional in social sciences, economics, statistics or other relevant field;
  • It is desirable that the candidate has specialized studies in Monitoring or Management of Social Programs;

Language: English Intermediate level;
