Under the overall guidance of the Project Manage and MERL Coordinator, the M&E officer will be responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the Project; assisting the Project Manager in preparing reports on project progress and monitoring the project activities on a regular basis, maintaining the MIS of the Project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer works in close collaboration with project team and CO program team, district local government departments and the wider MERL team.
the role holder will be providing operational services to both the MERL team and the various PIU projects and will be held accountable for ensuring that all planned M&E activities are managed in a structured manner guided by M&E principles ensuring all work is completed in a comprehensive and timely manner.
About You:
University degree in statistics, social sciences, communication, Computing Sciences, Information Technologies (IT), Data Science;
Experience in M&E positions and/or program experience in field data collection in emergencies.
Experience in conception/design and management of databases using different software
Good understand of routine data quality checks/validation
Demonstrated relevant technical skills in analysing quantitative and qualitative data
Experience in managing complex datasets
Proven work experience with platforms such as ONA, KOBO Toolbox, Kobo Collect, ODK Collect, etc.
Experience working with packages such as: PowerBI, SPSS, STATA, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
