Job Description

Chemonics seeks a monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, and communication director for the anticipated USAID Tuberculosis Private Sector Activity based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The project will support national goals to reduce tuberculosis (TB) prevalence and incidence by increasing the number of private provider clients who receive quality TB services. It will increase private sector access to TB diagnosis and facilitate TB patient notification, the TB treatment success rate in the private sector, and the uptake of improved private provider engagement mechanisms. The director will oversee all aspects of monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, and communication. Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide direction and oversee all aspects of monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, and communications for the project
  • Lead the design and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation system, which will capture information at the activity level as well as the district level
  • Support the chief of party in communicating the outcomes of the project to stakeholders at multiple levels through presentations and written communications
  • Oversee the review and analysis of global and local evidence to inform the establishment of country priorities for program and policy action
  • Identify successes and challenges based on data and recommend appropriate program adjustments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, medicine, international development, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum eight years of professional experience designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems at district and national levels
  • Track record of clearly communicating outcomes to stakeholders at multiple levels via presentations and the development of written materials
  • Demonstrated experience leading processes to review and analyze global and local evidence to inform the establishment of priorities for program and policy actions
  • Strong communication, presentation, teamwork, and cross-cultural interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and skills
  • Fluency in both speaking and writing English required
