How can you make a difference?
The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist - Gender and Development position is a vital part of the team in the Gender Section, Programme Division, at UNICEF NY Headquarters. Reporting to the Senior Adviser (Institutional Accountability), you will play a key role in supporting the Gender Section's commitment to technical excellence and quality in programmatic work on gender equality, as well as in strengthening institutional capacity and systems as outlined in the Gender Action Plan (GAP).
Your responsibilities will include providing technical support on gender in five specific areas:
Monitoring progress and reporting on the GAP
Providing support to the development and updating of global gender frameworks
Providing technical support to UNICEF's Regional and County offices on the implementation of the GAP
Developing gender-related global publications, briefing notes and reports
Consolidating knowledge management systems for the section
