The Timbaktu Collective (http://www.timbaktu.org/) invites applications from suitable candidates for the following posts:

Coordinator - Women Empowerment Programme (Swasakthi)

The incumbent is expected to oversee the Collective’s work with women, which encompasses support to four women’s thrift and credit cooperatives with a total membership of 22,500 and a capital base of Rs.23 crore. The incumbent will provide leadership in domains such as capacity building, finance management, fundraising, communication, legal aid, data management, and reporting.

Only women candidates will be considered for the post. She will be reporting to Director - Programmes.

The ideal candidate profile:

  • At least 3 years of programme management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector;
  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences;
  • Passionate about the empowerment of rural women;
  • Good understanding of financial and accounting systems;
  • Fluent in English and preferably Telugu;
  • Aptitude for living in a rural setting.

Coordinator - Administration

The incumbent is expected to oversee the Collective’s administrative functions including office management, vehicle maintenance, filing and documentation, HR management and hospitality. The incumbent will provide leadership to the sub-teams in the administration that includes office secretary, computer operator, office assistants and drivers.

Women candidates will be given preference. S/he will be reporting to Director - Administration.

The ideal candidate profile:

  • At least 3 years of experience at middle level management;
  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or MBA;
  • Good understanding of financial and accounting systems;
  • Fluent in English and preferably Telugu;
  • Aptitude for living in a rural setting.

Coordinator - MIS

This post is at Dharani FaM CooP Ltd, promoted by The Timbaktu Collective, having 2100 rain fed farmers as its members and managing entire value chain of various Millets in C.K.Palli of Anantapur Dist., A.P. In addition to providing safe & cost effective Organic Agricultural inputs to the farmers, the cooperative is known for its strong Brand ‘Timbaktu Organic’ in organic markets Pan India.

The incumbent will ensure that details for all farmer members is recorded as per ‘cropin’ software by farming cadres with help of tabs; ensure that farmer wise, and sanga wise PGS Organic status details are up –to-date; ensure that farmer wise, sanga wise and crop wise procurement quantity and value for a particular month is recorded by the end of the month; ensure that crop wise processing details for every day is recorded; and ensure that all data records & documents are updated, accessible and able to present in different forms (Numbers/ Graphics).

Women candidates will be given preference. S/he will be reporting to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dharani.

The ideal candidate profile:

  • At least 3 years of experience in data management (SQL server or any DBMS);
  • MCA/ BCA/ B.Com (CS)/ B.Tech.,
  • Fluent in English and preferably Telugu;
  • Aptitude for living in a rural setting.
