The National Project Coordinator (NPC) in Climate Change and Environmental Protection shall operate under the overall guidance and responsibility of the FAOR and the direct supervision of the Assistant FAO Representative for Georgia (FEGEO) and technical guidance of the Lead Technical Officer (LTO) in the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (REU). The NPC will work in close collaboration with representatives of the national government as well as technical officers, international consultants and national specialists in the FAO Country Office.
Provide technical expertise for the appropriate planning, development and implementation of the FAO project and timely delivery of the project outputs.
Tasks and responsibilities
The position will primarily support the work of the FAO’s Green Climate Fund (GCF) readiness project „Strategic Readiness to support the Updated NDC and its Climate Action for Georgia: Transforming Agriculture Sector through Low-Emissions and Climate-Resilient Pathways“ and ensure overall support of the organization in the areas of sustainable development and climate change.
