Job Description

About Point:

POINT was established by a group of humanitarian workers and it’s headquartered is in Gaziantep,
Turkey. As a non‐governmental organization, the co‐founders of PONT realized the crucial capacity gaps
and needs for the civil society and communities to play a greater role in improving the response to the
humanitarian crisis and better contribute to the stabilization of their conflict‐affected country. POINT
provides capacity development to the local civil society and community actors as well as local staff in
INGOs. This is to strengthen their voice, increase their impact and bring about the development of
diverse, inclusive, and independent civil society and communities.

TOR:

First Component (Finance, Logistic):

  • Review and make the necessary adjustments on the department policies (Finance, and logistic)
  • Review and develop current Sops. Create new SOPs if needed. (finance, and logistic)
  • Ensure the involvement of our staff in the process and provide training session on policies and SOPs
  • adjustments.

Second component (Finance):

  • Improve and advise on the current methodizes finance are using accounting software (Quick Books)
  • Develop a clear and easy to understand SOP for QuickBooks usage
  • Review contract management system (grants and service contracts) and advise on how to improve it
  • Work on developing a grant management policy and procedure
  • Review our archiving system and advise on how to improve it if necessary,
  • Create necessary tools related to what is mentioned above.

Third component (HR):

  • Review and make the necessary adjustments on the department policies
  • Review and develop current Sops. Create new SOPs if needed
  • Ensure the involvement of our staff in the process and provide training session on policies and SOPs
  • adjustments.
  • Review the organization chart (advise if necessary) and insert any updates.
  • Review employees job descriptions
  • Develop the current salary scale and advise on ways to implement any changes
