IFC's Corporate Support Vice Presidency (COSVPU) plays a significant role in achieving IFC’s mission. Departments within the VPU include Budget and Administration, Human Resources, Partnerships & Multilateral Engagement, Communication and Outreach, and Information and Technology. The Corporate Support Analytics & Reporting (COSAR) unit is a centralized function responsible for standardizing, streamlining, and automating analytics and reporting across the VPU to serve internal clients and the Board. The COSAR unit partners very closely with Budget and Administration and Human Resource teams, as well as Partnerships, and Communications, for subject matter expertise and domain knowledge. It is additionally tasked with working hand in hand with the IT department on technology, tools, and data platforms to adopt advanced and transformational analytics, including predictive and prescriptive analytics. 

Duties and Accountabilities:

The COSAR unit is seeking a qualified candidate to support the overall People Analytics work program and transition to advanced and transformational analytics. The work program includes several components covering Data, Reporting, and Analytics with the primary goal to simplify business processes, standardize and automate recurring reports for reliable analysis and deeper insights on IFC resources thus enabling data-driven decisions. The candidate will be tasked with standardizing, streamlining, and automating descriptive HR analytics as well building prescriptive and predictive advanced analytics. Further, the candidate will be tasked with the development of exploratory analytics involving gathering and studying data and trends in order to create analytics that guide decision making, procedures, and behavior of staff. 

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Lead and execute complex research/analytical projects in support of DEI’s 3 strategic priorities (gender equality, inclusive leadership for managers, performance management culture) by diagnosing specific problems and identifying emerging issues/trends
  • Lead business requirement gathering sessions with partners and clients to create and manage reporting solutions and modules in Power BI in an agile fashion  
  • Develop and automate data and analytics solutions (reports and dashboards) that enable action in service of IFC’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams in HR and IFC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion teams, council, and Employee Resource Groups, to understand business needs, scope data request, synthetize insights and recommend solutions
  • Mainstream DEI diversity data analysis into HR processes and reports
  • Contribute to integrated solutions connecting resources (human capital, budget, funds) with operational outputs
  • Create compelling narratives using data storytelling, to present and effectively deliver results and insights to leadership and stakeholders
  • Communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences to enable decision-making
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in teams in fast-paced work environments
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential HR data.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs
  • Prototype and prepare data models for advanced analytics including Power BI Quick Insights, AI Insights, NLQ, and other machine learning techniques to enable predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Selection Criteria:

  • 5 to 8 years of prior relevant work experience (reporting, analytics, data management) with preferred business process exposure to human resources, budget administration, or financial planning & analysis areas 
  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • Required working experience with Power BI, DAX and Power Query 
  • Required experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, R  
  • Demonstrated ability to visualize data for effective storytelling 
  • Demonstrated understanding of privacy and risk management issues around working with diversity data
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, quantitative research and experience gathering and interpreting data.
  • Ability to synthesize and present complex data in a simple, compelling, meaningful way
  • Preferred working experience with Tableau 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of initiative and creativity
  • Excellent team and collaborative skills across boundaries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, internationally diverse work environment; strong interpersonal skills are essential
