UNFPA’s new strategic plan (2022- 2025), focuses on three transformative results: to end preventable maternal deaths; end unmet need for family planning; and end gender-based violence and harmful practices.

Ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health information and services, especially for women and girls, is the focus of the 2021-2025 Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) for the Programme of the Cooperation between the Government of Indonesia and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Strong strategic communications is required to boost and promote the success of the CPAP implementation, and to ensure continuous support for the next CPAP In a world where fundamental human rights are at risk, we need principled and ethical staff, who embody these international norms and standards, and who will defend them courageously and with full conviction.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN agency dedicated to sexual and reproductive health and rights. It works to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. UNFPA supports access to family planning, maternal health services, and comprehensive sexuality education, especially in underserved and crisis-affected areas. It also champions gender equality by addressing gender-based violence and harmful practices such as child marriage and female genital mutilation. Through partnerships with governments, civil society, and the private sector, UNFPA promotes data-driven policies and programs that empower women and young people, reduce inequalities, and advance sustainable development.

UNFPA Asia and the Pacific is currently strengthening its partnerships with regional organizations such as ASEAN, SAARC, PIF, and regional multilateral development banks such as ADB, AIIB, NDB, as well as its philanthropic partnerships. The Partnerships Associate will support the UNFPA Asia and the Pacific Regional Office (APRO) in strengthening strategic engagement with public and private sector donors, including multilateral development banks, philanthropic organizations, and non-traditional bilateral donors. The Associate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of donor relations and resource mobilization efforts through research, coordination, and administrative support.

Skills and experience :

  • ● Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in partnerships, resource mobilization or communications.
  • ● Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
  • ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and donor management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Excel-based CRM).
  • ● Good coordination skills and team collaboration
  • ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
  • ● Demonstrated interest in international development, gender equality, and humanitarian work is an asset.
