The Role

We are looking for a talented relationship manager and fundraiser to represent Oxfam GB in Switzerland, with a specific focus on Trusts and Foundations and Individual Philanthropists. Building on a number of long term relationships and an existing network of contacts, you will grow the number and size of gifts to Oxfam, making the case for growing our commitment and investment in Switzelrand for the future.

What we are looking for

You are a tenacious business developer who loves the thrill of securing new partnerships; you know when to bring in senior colleagues to help you do this. You are a self-starter with great ability to work remotely from the core team, managing your own time and seeking support as necessary. You are a natural networker and relish building new relationships based on shared values. You understand the Swiss market and how to operate effectively.

Working in Switzerland, you will be mobile, with a primary focus on visiting supporters and potential supporters. Easy access to Zurich and Geneva will be essential. The role is a home-based role. Oxfam will ensure that you are equipped to work from home effectively.

As part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team based in Oxfam House, travel to Oxford will be required – you will have focal point individuals in each team for key partnerships to support your engagement with supporters from any sector. They will support you in completing the necessary proposal writing, grant management and administrative tasks necessary to enable effective supporter engagement and communications.

This post is a three-year investment by Oxfam in Switzerland of which we are now in the second year, with a view to establishing a more permanent base subject to success and sufficient financial resources.

Additional Information

  • Location: Switzerland
  • Hours: Part-time – 21.3 hours per week
  • Salary: CHF 67,000 p.a. for three days per week, depending on experience
