Background Information - Job-specific

This consultancy is to support UNICEF Jordan (JCO) PME section for the period of 3 months to perform various end-year planning and reporting tasks. The tasks associated with this consultancy will specifically include: UNICEF Annual Report 2019, United Nations Sustainable Development Framework (UNSDF) Annual Report 2019 preparation for relevant chapters for the Institutions Results Group (RG) in consultation with RG members, other inter-agency tasks such as UN Info, CCA (Common Country Assessment) and High Level Inter-agency work plan 2020, UNICEF Annual Review 2019, UNSDF Annual Review, Annual Management Plan (AMP) 2020 preparation, update UNICEF Jordan Country Programme Monitoring Framework prior to Mid-Term Review (MTR) 2020, Humanitarian Actions for Children (HAC) 2020-2021 planning support and support in undertaking evaluations and studies.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

  • Master’s degree in social science
  • A minimum of 7 years of extensive professional experience in RBM, Planning, data analysis, reporting, monitoring and evaluation in international development work.
  • Familiarity with and experience in UNICEF corporate reporting mechanism especially country office annual reporting and planning guidelines are required
  • A good experience in supporting the UNSDF inter-agency planning and monitoring efforts (such as UNSDF / CCA) is required
  • Any training course in RBM and/or planning, M&E is an asset
  • Good experience in training or capacity building in the areas of RBM and planning is required.
  • Computer skills ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint …etc)
  • Knowledge of water quality testing and sampling methods and techniques.
  • Excellent writing skills (in English) which should be at UNICEF corporate publication level is required.
