Job Description

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty. That means we tackle the inequality that keeps people poor. Together we save, protect and rebuild lives. When disaster strikes, we help people build better lives for themselves, and for others. We take on issues like land rights, climate change and discrimination against women. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can enjoy life free from poverty.

We are an international confederation of 20 organizations (affiliates) working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.

All our work is led by three core values: Empowerment, Accountability, Inclusiveness. To read more about our values please click here

Oxfam is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behavior at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. Oxfam expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.

Note: All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and may be subject to appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks.

Our team

Creative & Content is Oxfam’s in-house team of copywriters, designers, filmmakers, photographers, production experts, story-tellers and creative thinkers. We lead, conceive, commission and produce work across all channels, all in support of Oxfam’s cause of beating poverty for good. We tell the stories that matter most, in the way that will most move people to act, give and shop.

What we are looking for

  • We’re looking for a Production Manager who is able to organise and deliver UK film and photo projects to make Oxfam’s messages compelling. You will help commission some of the best photographers and filmmakers in the UK and across the world and you are passionate about film and photo trends. You are a creative problem solver who thrives on overcoming logistical challenges and are equally happy securing locations and booking flights as you are writing photography briefs.
  • You have great attention to detail and can clearly communicate our data rules and regulations to our freelancers.
  • You may also support the team by helping to organise flights, invoices, visas and contracts. Finally, like the creative producers and filmmakers in the team, the production manager should be able and willing to tell Oxfam’s stories online and offline.

Please note that candidates should already have right to work in the UK in order to apply for this role.
