Job Description

Organization and Placement Location: Educate Girls Globally Foundation, Karnataka Office – India; www.educategirls.org

Educate Girls Globally Foundation [EGGF] is a non-profit organization registered in Uttarakhand, India under Societies Registration Act 1860. Currently working in some of the most impoverished and underperforming districts in India, Educate Girls Globally Foundation [EGGF] has developed a “Pathbreaking Model” to empower communities, strengthen schools, and mobilize girls so they can themselves be instrumental in improving school education and building leadership capacity. Simply stated, EGGF empowers girls to learn and lead.

Position: Program Manager

This person will supervise 2 District Project Officers (DPOs) in Karnataka and Telangana and will work as per the vision of the project and at large of the organization. Project Manager will report to the Senior Program Manager and will work under her/his guidance and supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall Management: The person will be an overall in-charge of the project in 1 district each in Karnataka and Telangana and will supervise and monitor all activities like planning and implementation as part of the job profile. Responsibilities will also include travel to Telangana.
  • Supervision of District Project Officers: She/he will be accountable for 2 DPOs and will work to build their capacity and monitor their work.
  • Training: He/she will conduct orientation workshops and training for the team and teachers as well and will support them in implementation of project activities.
  • Report Writing: Reporting of activities in both project locations and timely submission of reports to the Senior Program Manager is another task of the Program Manager.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: The person will vigilantly monitor and evaluate both districts’ project activities, identifying outputs and gaps. He/she will have to resolve the issues in consultation with DPOs.
  • Liaisoning: This person with liaison with Government, partners, and other stakeholders on the project.
  • Other Responsibilities: Any other responsibilities that might come up over and above the ones listed above.

Required Educational Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters in Education/Sociology/ MSW/MBA or relevant field
  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience of working in similar capacity in social development settings (Education/Livelihood etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi/local languages

Working Hours: Though in general the working hours will be 8 hours a day but can fluctuate as per the need of the project.
Remuneration: As per experience and capability of the candidate and prevalent industry standards
