Conservation International’s regional Asia Pacific headquarters is in Singapore and provides a vehicle for the organisation to coordinate its efforts in conservation and sustainable development throughout the 12 countries of this field division.
In addition to being a regional hub, CI has developed a stand-alone country-specific Singapore Program to raise our profile, increase our support base and further develop our fund-raising potential in-country. As such this is the most recent country program to be launched by CI in the Asia-Pacific Field Division (APFD).
The Singapore Program will benefit from the establishment of a new, local charity with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status and an independent Board of Trustees as well as having total alignment and support from all of the institutional strength and depth of CI in Singapore, Asia and the rest of the world.
The Singapore Program Manager will further design, develop and manage the expansion of the Singapore Program whilst also identifying and sharing opportunities and partnerships for the potential benefit of CI in Singapore and throughout the Asia Pacific.
The position will report to the Director of Development in the APFD and work closely with the Senior Management Team and the Board of Trustees in Singapore to ensure that the Singapore country program is designed to support activities across the following 3 core areas:
The position is responsible for development, coordination, and delivery of strategic objectives for the Singapore country program as well as to ensure its expansion and commercial success while supporting the goals and outcomes of the APFD.
S/he will manage the Education Coordinator to implement parts of the above strategy. S/he will also need to be comfortable working closely with the Senior Management Team in Singapore to identify, cultivate and manage local donors and Partners for the long term financial sustainability and fundraising success of the Program.
S/he is expected to be able to work closely with a broad array of internal and external stakeholders. S/he must be able to effectively leverage external partners (existing and prospective) to expand CI’s reach and scale of impact in Singapore and across a portfolio of regional programs and initiatives.
The Program Manager must be able to work across cultural and linguistic boundaries and address challenges with creativity and conviction. S/he is positive, proactive, self-driven, flexible and confident.
S/he is a team player with experience in developing and managing projects (preferably with a focus or interest in the education sector).
S/he would benefit from a track record of raising funds successfully and/or be familiar with the requirements related to fundraising from individuals and corporations.
