ABOUT WFP

JOB PURPOSE

Support the implementation of the FFA project, and perform monitoring of Cash-for-work activities within a specific coverage area.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of WFP Food-for-assets and Cash-for-work to refugees from Myanmar in Ukhiya and Teknaf
  • Supervise, verify the planned distribution of cash, resolving routine issues and escalating where appropriate, to ensure that the quantity distributed and the quality of the operation is in line with WFP standards.
  • Regularly meet all partners- UN agencies and stakeholders in the field to jointly solve problems and coordinate.
  • Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback and comments to support programme reviews and improve services.
  • Collect and summarise data, collaborating with implementing partners where required, conduct analysis and prepare reports in order to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed monitoring plans, casestudies, qualitative and quantitative reports, including recommended follow-up actions to ensure program goals are achieved, share with cooperating partners and WFP and ensure follow-up actions are completed on a timely basis;
  • Identify risks to programs, and apparent issues in the programme, and report them to the appropriate personnel for mitigation measures;
  • Ensure the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.
  • Supervise and train other personnel as appropriate;
  • Assist in organizing meetings, mission visits, etc.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Team leader, or by Head of the Unit.

FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES

OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with livelihoods support, Cash-for-work, cash transfer, resilience, DRR works, etc
  • Familiarity with the special context of Cox’s Bazar.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate in the related functional area.

Language: Excellent written and oral/communications skills in both English and Bangla. Fluency in Chittagonian language highly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills: Computer skills. Understanding of M&E, reporting, accountability will be required
