The 2 Programme Development Specialists will work to support the development of high quality programmes, with particular focus on large, complex and multi-country programming. With others, the role provides additional, deployable capacity to complement existing programme teams. It will also help to secure funding aligned with Oxfam’s thematic priorities – which are Water, Women, Work and Inequality.
Working closely with programme advisors and funding managers, the role will contribute to the growth of a strong portfolio of programmes – including helping to secure funding for evolving, new or scaled-up programmes. The Programme Development Specialist (WASH) will be deployed in support of specific programmes and opportunities. The role is expected to collaborate closely with a Business Development and a Thematic leads (in particular, Gender Justice and Economic Justice leads) to contribute to the development and funding of high quality programmes.
Programme Developers, when deployed, will work closely with existing programme management, advisory and delivery teams to move from programme design to implementation. They will support, facilitate or lead processes that result in clear programme plans and operational realities, including ensuring that good and clear decisions are taken around components such as programme management units, programme governance, budgeting, and clarity on staffing requirements. They will also document experience and lessons learned, helping to contribute to a consistent and high-quality approach to supporting programme development in Oxfam.
Please note the location for this post is flexible but it will need to be a location where Oxfam GB has a presence and you have the right to work as Oxfam can't support any work permits/Visas.
