OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
The position of Project Coordinator is one of the project posts within a multidisciplinary team that will be stationed in Kurram Agency. This post will provide overall programme leadership and operational direction of the day to day implementation of the two UNFPA supported projects in close collaboration with Agency Surgeon and designated Focal Point in FATA Health Directorate, Peshawar.
Organizes the Project Steering Committee in close consultation with the Agency Surgeon and FATA Health Directorate ensuring that regular project meetings and timely information sharing on project activities are undertaken.
Manages the day to day operations of the Response Hub ensuring that every member of the Project Team works to deliver in adherence to the approved work plan and in accordance with health and disaster response standards.
Promotes and facilitates support to government counterparts in integrating MISP in the regular health services in Kurram Agency.
Coordinates inter-agency efforts to ensure that duplication of health, SRH and women’s protection services are avoided or minimized.
Prepares monthly reports using prescribed templates and reporting format.
Facilitates timely technical and operational support to the team from UNFPA and FATA Health Directorate, FDMA and other line ministries.
Supervises the performance of the project team personnel and ensure compliance to their respective assigned tasks and monthly deliverables
Represents UNFPA in PHPF related meetings in FATA and Kurram Agency.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Humanitarian Coordinator.
Effective project delivery as per the job description of the assigned tasks.
The position will report directly to the International Humanitarian Coordinator and secondary reporting role to the Agency Surgeon.
Excellent leadership qualities to manage team of 08-10 people and to manage effective project delivery.
§ Master's degree in Public Health.
§ Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable relevant Healthcare experience.
§ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Middle East with local experience in Kurrum Agency-Fata is an advantage.
§ Fluency in Pashto, Urdu and English are essential.
Project Management, Administration, HR and team management, Financial Management, communication, capacity building, Monitoring and evaluation, Health program management.
Other relevant information:
Qualification: Master Degree in Public Health
Detail: A university degree in Public Health and any social science is required.
Language: English/Urdu/Pashto Level: Fluent
Sector Experience: Health program management: 05 years in Management
Geographical experience: FATA particularly Kurrum Agency 03 years
